Due to the coronavirus, our forthcoming concerts and rehearsals have been cancelled. In challenging times, the orchestra has made the most out of the situation we find ourselves in and moved to online virtual rehearsals. The new rehearsal format allows the orchestra to continue socialising and making music in a safe environment, as well as gaining some new technical skills!
We have been playing music from our existing repertoire, as well as challenging new pieces that we hope to include in future programmes. Our conductor Phil Draisey has been guiding us through new territory as well as delighting us with a weekly brainteaser and our leader Nicola Ashton has been tirelessly organising rehearsals every week and bringing us all together.
We look forward to getting back together and being able to put on a concert again, but for now: stay safe, stay well, keep calm and play on!
